About

Hands-on AI systems engineering, built and operated in-house.

Kraken Systems combines local AI, structured knowledge, human-directed agents, and hardware we engineered ourselves — including systems others had written off — to build useful technology without surrendering control of the work.

Built, not bought

Kraken grew from years of repairing, modifying, and combining equipment that was inexpensive, incomplete, or considered obsolete: retired workstations, former mining equipment, used accelerators, older servers, and deeply discounted components were reorganized into a working multi-node AI environment.

The result is not one giant machine. It is a developing network of specialized systems that can perform research, documentation, translation, testing, software work, infrastructure monitoring, and coordinated agent tasks.

Human authority stays intact

Kraken’s agents help organize work, find evidence, prepare proposals, test systems, monitor websites, and surface decisions. They are not granted blanket authority. Sensitive actions—credentials, publication, money, legal claims, live trading, destructive changes, and private records—remain gated by human approval.

This operating discipline is part of the product. Kraken Systems intends to help organizations gain the advantages of AI without pretending accountability can be delegated away.

The human reason

Some work is personal.

We build projects with a service, technology, and humanitarian bent — tools designed to protect and serve family and community, and to make the people closest to us safer and better supported. The people behind that work stay private, by design: no names, no photos, no details.

That experience shaped both Kraken Systems and Project KATIA: build tools that make difficult work more understandable, organized, and survivable—while protecting the people at the center of it.

Local control

Sensitive work should remain local when practical, with deliberate choices about what leaves the controlled environment.

Evidence over theater

Progress should be proven through build records, tests, sources, and clear status—not inflated AI claims.

Resourceful engineering

Hardware that others retired can keep delivering real value when it is matched to appropriate workloads, instrumented, and maintained responsibly.

Current status: Kraken Systems is an early-stage, founder-led initiative in active development. Formal business registration is planned but has not yet been completed.
