Practice area · Systems & Technical Operations

Infrastructure that stays up — and comes back when it doesn't.

Servers, Linux systems, storage, networking, monitoring, recovery, and automation — designed, built, and operated in-house. This practice area keeps the technical foundation running so the websites, AI systems, and business workflows above it can be trusted.

Capabilities

Operational outcomes, engineered in-house.

Servers and Linux operations

Server provisioning, Linux administration, containers, and services that are documented, reproducible, and maintainable — not a pile of one-off commands.

Storage and data organization

Storage planning, organization, backup discipline, and recovery paths — so data is findable, protected, and restorable when it matters.

Monitoring and alerting

Health checks, resource monitoring, and alerting that tells you something is wrong before your customers do — with runbooks for the common cases.

Recovery and resilience

Backup verification, restore testing, and incident recovery practice. The goal is not just "we back up" — it is "we have proven we can come back."

Infrastructure automation

Repeatable provisioning, configuration management, and automated operations that remove the fragile manual steps from running systems.

Self-hosting

Own-your-infrastructure approaches for organizations that want control of their data and services — evaluated honestly, since self-hosting is not always the right answer.

The outcome

Systems you can stop worrying about — because they're engineered.

Most infrastructure problems are not mysteries; they are missing engineering. No documentation, no monitoring, no backup verification, no recovery practice — and then a quiet failure becomes an expensive Tuesday.

Kraken Systems operates its own multi-node fleet, so this practice area is not theory. The same disciplines we use to keep our own systems honest — lifecycle automation, thermal management, measured validation, incident records, published boundaries — are what we bring to client infrastructure.

Outcomes first: uptime you can rely on, recovery you have practiced, and operations that a person can understand and maintain after we hand them over. Implementation details come second, and they are documented.

We publish evidence before promises: real build records, measured results, and clearly scoped case studies — including the failures and what we learned from them.

Current status

Developing, on live self-hosted infrastructure.

Systems and technical operations are under active development and internal validation, with selected pilot work being prepared. The practice area runs on the same self-hosted infrastructure that powers this site and the Kraken fleet.
