Project KATIA Overview

Project KATIA is a developing research and humanitarian initiative at Kraken Systems — exploring whether technology can help families find information, navigate complex systems, prevent international child abduction where possible, and support lawful efforts toward reunification.

Its mission is to develop technology, resources, partnerships, and support systems that help separated children and families find the right assistance, preserve meaningful connections, and work toward reconnection.

The project may address separations involving abduction, disappearance, wrongful retention, immigration, displacement, conflict, institutional barriers, estrangement, and other circumstances.

Project KATIA is currently in founding, research, organization, partnership-development, and prototype-planning stages. It is not an emergency, legal, clinical, investigative, or case-management service.
