Roadmap

An honest roadmap: now, next, later, and research-only.

Project KATIA’s roadmap is organized into four buckets. The distinction matters: “research-only” means exploration, not a commitment. Nothing on this page is a promise that any tool will be built, deployed, or available.

Read this first: Items in RESEARCH_ONLY are exploration, not commitments. Nothing in this roadmap is a promise that any tool will be built, deployed, or available. Unbuilt capabilities are never described as existing.

NOW — active work

  • Expanding the verified country-by-country resource index.
  • Drafting the next plain-language explainer topics (prevention, travel, passports, reunification processes).
  • Building the structured, searchable knowledge-base index.
  • Professional-review outreach — contact-driven only, no mass outreach, no case intake.

NEXT — queued after current work

  • Translating core content into additional languages.
  • Publishing research summaries with sources.
  • Incorporating professional-review feedback into public pages.

LATER — dependent on reviews and approval

  • Prototype planning moving to build for any tool — each gated on privacy review, professional review, and explicit approval before any build.
  • No private-side system without separate review and approval; private material never appears on the public site.

RESEARCH_ONLY — exploration, no commitment

These are candidates under exploration only. They are not designed, not built, and not promised:

  • Agency and process-navigation assistants.
  • Document-preparation assistance.
  • Deadline and task coordination.
  • Prevention education.
  • Lawful digital coordination tools.
  • Family-support referrals.

Separate program

Katia’s Law has its own roadmap.

Katia’s Law is a developing policy proposal about prevention systems — a separate program with its own status: policy research, drafting, and stress-testing. It has not been filed, and no government has endorsed it. Read about Katia’s Law →
